The H&R drum camp returns stronger than ever. In March 2025, we will organise our fourth camp with our first international guest. Ladies and gentlemen, our guest star will be.....🥁 Drumroll, Please! 🥁 Riccardo Merlini! We are very excited to have him on our line-up. The Finnish Defence Forces drum instructor Tomi Kauppila will also join the camp and will give us a fabulous clinic about rudimental drumming. The camp will be a real goldmine for anyone interested in hand technique. As always this time we will also focus on important topics such as ergonomics, foot technique, time, groove and coordination.

Riccardo Merlini is an acclaimed Italian drummer known for his unmatched speed and technical skill. Merlini's innovative approach to drumming, blending precision with incredible speed, has earned him a reputation as one of the fastest drummers in the world. Alongside his performance career, he is also a dedicated teacher, sharing his expertise through workshops, online tutorials, and collaborations with aspiring drummers worldwide.
🥁 Kai Hahto: Drumming powerhouse of the globally renowned band Wintersun and Nightwish. Kai Hahto's masterful drumming techniques and stage presence have captivated audiences worldwide. Now, you have the chance to learn directly from the rhythm wizard himself!
🥁 Tuomas Rauhala: Tuomas Rauhala is a skilled Finnish drummer celebrated for his energetic and precise playing. Rauhala has gained recognition for his solid technique and dynamic live performances. Over the years, he has collaborated with various bands and artists, both in the studio and on stage. In addition to his work as a performer, Rauhala is also an enthusiastic educator, helping aspiring drummers refine their skills and develop their own unique sound.
🥁 Tomi Kauppila:
Tomi Kauppila is currently serving in the Conscript Band of the Finnish Defense Forces. He is a true expert in rudimental drumming. He has studied and gathered knowledge about rudimental drumming worldwide. In Tomi´s clinic, you'll get lots of useful information to boost your hand technique to the next level.

What you´ll get?
Please note:
- Private accommodation is not included in the package price. Ask more about the options for your own room.
- The programme will be more precise closer to the camp and we will inform the participants about it. The plan is that the camp will start with a joint meeting on Friday around 5 or 6 p.m. and end on Sunday afternoon around 5 p.m. The teaching days will presumably last from 10 to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
- The thing to note is that the camp location is not on the train connection. If participants arrive from outside Finland we can certainly arrange transport from Seinäjoki station to the camp and back. Such a ride would not be included in the ticket price.
- For participants coming from abroad: there is no need to bring anything special. Drumsticks, hearing protection, maybe a practice pad if possible.

- If you cancel the camp at least 60 days before the start of the camp, we will refund the registration fee. No questions asked.
- If cancellation is received less than 60 days before the start of the camp, we reserve the right to retain the registration fee in order to ensure the camp takes place.
